No? Of couse not, nobody pays attention to my character like I do… I wouldn’t expect it of you. Here, let me just refocus it a little bit.

That’s right. It’s about time, I think. She actually dinged last night, on my very last daily of the day. It’s weird to think that’s it for leveling. No more rest xp, no more training. I went ahead and hid my XP bar, replacing it with a great big ol’ rep bar to keep track of whoever I’m schmoozing this time (Kirin Tor and Oracles… and Wyrmrest Accord, sheesh.) Weird weird weird!
I had to go to bed and think on it (which was terrifying, because I had nightmares about Michael Jackson all night long) before I could work out any kind of post, but you blog readers have been so awesome as I’ve leveled you’re almost the first people I told. After my guildies and Naelian, of course.

There it is. I told you about the guildie who made me feel stupid for asking a noob question… well it was my GM. Several more unpleasant events followed, including a nasty note to Naelian after he took a stack of uncut gems out of the guild bank, cut them, and put them back in the guild bank (common practice for leveling tradeskills in our guild), and other unwarranted blowups. So we’re out of there. It’s a bad sign when the ONLY sign of drama in a guild is the leader himself. Just not good. There’s a few old guildies we really miss, but we always knew we’d probably be leaving around 80 anyway because Luna didn’t do anything.
So we’ve found ourselves in the Crimson Knights, which supposedly is like the number thirty-something ranked raiding guild on Aerie Peak. Not that we’re likely to see any raiding any time soon. I’m still feeling really at loose ends, like I exist just to do Argent Tournament dailies or something… but I’m also still feeling as though I shouldn’t get any further ahead of Naelian, he’s at level 78 and coming up fast, so I don’t want to go rushing into Heroics without him… ohhhh scratch that, I DO want to go rushing into Heroics RIGHT NOW. But I won’t, because we’ve already had too much fight about that. But it’s weird to feel this numbing sense of guilt when I eye Violet Hold. It’s new to feel like my toon is tied to his to the point where I can’t just be DPS LFG, I’m 2DPS (mage/boomkin) LFG. I think our group options may be pretty limited because of it. Whycome aren’t we like, Tank and Healer LFG, hmm?
So anyway, I’m off to continue amassing Dalaran Cooking Awards and listening to Smooth Criminal on an endless repeating loop (hmm, maybe that’s the source of the nightmares?). Anyone who wants to send me their ideas for my burning question “What Next?!” should do so… I need it.

What next? Why, level up an alt or course!
Or just focus on rep, or running lower levels through instances, sell ports to people that need them, leveling all your professions/skills to 450 (including all of your weapon skills). Go gather achievements. Go farm herbs, ore, leather, and cloth until all your bag and bank slots are full.
There's a lot of stuff you can do other than raiding.
Congratulations on 80! Now comes the fun gear hunt, then raiding. Of course, with the new patch and Conquest emblems, gear will be easier.
Gratz on 80! Oh gee, what to do now… work on rep for some gear/enchants, run some regular 80s maybe? … if he's hoping you hold off on heroics that is. Finish up quests/zones… maybe some WG?
Whats next? Figured that's obvious. Use Blizzards Faction changing service once its available and then transfer to my server so you can run instances with Adreanna and I…….duh.

3) You wont get any further ahead now… your stuck at 80… Run the Heroics to your hearts content.
If you knew you would get BiS pre-raid gear on the 1st trip through each instance, then you, you should wait… But that's unlikely to happen… so start now.. anything you pick up now will mean less issues later…
And of course… craft, PvP, Rep quests etc…
Worst case, work out what he needs once he hits 80 (mats wise) and go grind it somewhere that is mutually beneficial

Are your trade skills maxed? How about your cooking? First aid? (screw fishing it's lame) That could keep you busy.
Also, there's gold in them thar hills! All of those quests you didnt do in northrend can net you a small fortune, if you go and complete them, of course.
PvP much? Now could be a time to start? Hop into wintergrasp whenever your faction is attacking for some totally easy honor, just make sure you get all the quests!
Got a gear list yet? I always like to figure out where the gear I want is, and what order I want it in. That way I always know which instances I want to run.
Like dragons? Run some heroic culling of stratholmes just to get a feel for the place, as one day when you are a bit more powerful and with a good group, you can race through there and beat the timer, and win a bronze drake!

Ohh gosh. My herbalism is maxed, my inscription, first aid, and cooking are all in the 420-440 range and creeping upward ever so slowly… my fishing is… umm… 275?
Naelian hit 80 (hooray!) and we've been running the 80 type regular instances — UP and HoL were successes, our CoS was a horrific pug run. One for the ages really. Starting to feel just a little less like I've been retired and more like there are things to do after the XP runs dry. I do have to say, I like seeing the little rep numbers going up when I wear my hot new tabards in instances. Rep is the new XP.
I think we can maybe try H Nexus soon.
I'm excited again.
