I switched mains this summer, as anyone who gives this blog any more than the most occasional read must have picked up on by now, and in the process I changed, guilds, factions, and servers, leaving poor Rhii behind on Aerie Peak Alliance side to stew.
It’s a sad thing to do to your first 80, even if you’ve discovered that you can’t possibly be loyal to a main who doesn’t heal anymore… So this Christmas when I got a little extra cash together, I made the big switch.
As a refresher, since it’s been a while since Rhii appeared on this site, here she is on the day she ding’d 80, surrounded by her new mirror images:
She’ll look a little different the next time you see her. She’s changed her hair, of course. As well as her skin tone and general number of tentacles. And she’s got some shiny new toys out of the new ICC five mans, so her dress is a bit more coordinated than it’s been in a long time. A bit of a reimagining if you will:
But she’s still the same old Rhii in my head… she’s still kind of impulsive. Likely to rush into a pack of angry scourge with arcane missiles flying everywhere and not a thought given to crowd control. She’s still a little on the haughty side, although generally a likeable type, with a tendency to be skeptical of what she doesn’t understand. She’s still very cerebral with a fascination for the study of plants and magical ink. She’s still from a background of chaos and loss, and so my mental backstory for her hasn’t changed a lot (although I’m pretty sure that her sister isn’t a shaman, as I’d previously suspected). Er, did I just give away my strong inner RP nerd just there?
Anyway, let’s say a last farewell to Rhii-the-Draenei and look forward to her new life, on KT with my little healing team of Myr and Emi. Goodbye Old Rhii!

BTW how long did the transfer take? I've heard they have refined the process enough to where a server transfer can happen in like 20 mins (or is that character-account transfer…..)
I don't remember the exact time it took, but it was less than two hours total before I was playing her. I was favorably impressed to say the least.
Over to the dark side… Ohhh the shame

You know, your post title it awesome! It’s nice when your toon names fall into place with our blogging.
Yeah, doing the DPS thing has allowed me to blow off a little steam. Sometimes healing gets me a little cranky… I've never experienced the heights of pure stupid that I see when I heal. Not to say that all tanks and DPS are dumb, just that when one is, you notice it so much more when you're staring at their health bars.
I'm thinking of doing up a little whimsical RP scene between my three primary characters and putting it up here. Hrm. Deserves further thought I suppose.
