Holy crap, this blog is still alive…was beginning to think nobody paid the bills here and they turned off the power. I think Rhii had some internet issues. That or she fell victim to an unfortunate Gnomish Transporter accident some 500ft above Gadgetzan. In all honesty, I had lost my love of the game for a bit. I was still playing a lot but actually logging into the blog to make a post was like pulling teeth. You know what mama Aurdon used to say? If you can’t say anything nice…..
Not all of my wow experiences had been bad over the past month really. They just hadn’t been great and not much “other WoW news” made me feel like making a post. As mentioned in posts past, I just kinda defaulted my main raider character into my DK Raze. Competition is tough for DK’s in high end raiding guilds and they are a complex class to play. I ended up leaving my guild of 3 years <Mimnoks Shadow> for a newly transfered guild <Sick> and I still haven’t regreted that decision once. This new guild is “Srs biznis” and yet still knows how to keep a cool head and have fun while raiding….something my last guild failed to do week after week. Currently <Sick> is in the top 5 guilds on my server and one of the top 3 Horde. They’ve completed all “major” raiding accomplishments in my opinion except for A Tribute to Insanity (25). We even did Observed (25) although my WoW crashed before the pull and I had to be replaced /tear. Can’t complain that much though…. easily got my Ironbound Proto-Drake.
As time went on, some new DK apps came along better geared then I and took my spot from the core raids. After being with the guild for 6 weeks and still retaining the title of “Initiate” I finally asked the guild leader what can I do. He shot straight with me saying I could
- Stick with it, eventually I’ll get raid invites again (even though my attendance is 100% thus far)
- Reroll…Could be useful to have another class
- Find a new guild
Well I didn’t like #3. This guild seems to be a perfect fit for me aside from I’m not first selected for every raid still. #1 sounded like what I’d be doing anyway so it was still on the table. I asked about #2 and what the guild might need. ”We are a bit low on Magic DPS atm.” DING! ”Well I have an 80 Mage that I could dust off…only has PvP gear though atm.”
And that was that. Aurdon who had been my alt is now my main again, but still an alt. Aurdon’s Rank Title within the guild is one step below Initiate which is “alt”. And ever since patch 3.3 has come along I’ve been gearing up like the dickens. Its been < week and I’ve already bought 2 Tier 9 set pieces with badges/trophies and I looted a pair of the badge only T9 gloves from VoA(10). Factor that in with new 5 mans to run…I’m sure I’ll be Arcane Blasting off the Litch King’s face in no time at all.

Grats to Aurdon (the mage, not you the poster!) You're right, I did have some technical glitches with my Gnomish Transporter these last few weeks… swept me right away to Law School Finals Land where I couldn't find the exit somehow.
Anyway, it's cool that you'll soon be raiding with your mage again (hopefully!). I'm planning to bring Rhii over to KT early next semester when I get some cash again.
